Level 3 Technician - Corkills Volkswagen Southport


Job Type:

  • Full-time, permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Work with electric vehicles, for which we will provide training
  • Use your technical knowledge and skills
  • Work independently in a busy, active environment. Interpret and implement technical information
  • Carry out repairs to safety/MOT/manufacturer/warranty standards
  • Diagnose faults and have excellent working methods and standards
  • Report faults and service requirements
  • Obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle
  • Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test completed repairs
  • Servicing, repairs, fitting of accessories and PDI’s on new and used vehicles
  • Be open to try new methods of work designed to improve efficiency
  • Apply learning and experience when diagnosing faults
  • Believe in the “Fixed first time” approach

Requirements:

  • Possess good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information accurately and concisely
  • Honest with high levels of integrity
  • Team player – assist other technicians when workshop is under pressure.
  • Thorough and able to work with defined processes and guidelines
  • Committed to the development and improvement of your technical knowledge and skills
  • Full driving licence
  • Minimum 4 years' experience working within a workshop environment with a strong knowledge of routine servicing and mechanical repairs
  • MOT accreditation or the willingness to become MOT accredited
